The other day I read an article, illustrated by a $100 bill in flames, contending that buying an ULTRA HD (4k) TV is a waste of money. The author concludes that there is essentially no difference in detectible picture quality from a good 1080 set. Furthermore, he belittles the effects of upscaling. I couldn't disagree more. I don't know what he was looking at, but my 55 inch Vizio P Series is far superior to any 1080 set I've seen.
